REGIONAL COMMISSION OF AL HOCEIMA-NADOR HOLDS MEETING ON CLUBS OF CITIZENSHIP AND HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION

The Regional Human Rights Commission of Al Hoceima-Nador holds meeting under the heading “Supporting clubs of citizenship and human rights education in the province of Al-Hoceima”. This meeting will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 in Tetouan, at 3:30 p.m.

This meeting is organized within the framework of the efforts made to promote the culture of human rights through the education and training system. It is opportunity to be open the educational stakeholders and to have them involved in the efforts made to promote the culture of human rights. These efforts will be further strengthened by the creation of clubs of citizenship and human rights education in all schools and regional networks of these clubs. A participatory plan of action of these clubs shall be designed and implemented.

The Regional Human Rights Commission of Al Hoceima-Nador is planning a series of meetings with the different local stakeholders, upon the results of which a plan of action for the next academic year (2013-2014) will be designed. This plan of action will be devoted to the promotion of the culture of human rights in schools. Capacity building and the creation of citizenship and human rights education clubs in the different schools in the region is another objective of the plan.

This meeting will be chaired by Ms Souad EL Idrissi, Chairperson of the commission. A framework partnership and cooperation agreement will be signed by the commission and the Education Directorate of the province of Al Hoceima.
