KHOURIBGA EVENTS: CNDH MEETS WITH A PARLIAMENT DELEGATION

Following up investigation and data collection on the events of Khouribga, CNDH Secretary General, Mr. Mohammed Essabbar, met with a parliament delegation, on 23 March 2011, at the Headquarters of the Council in Rabat.

This delegation was composed of the following deputies: Mr. Souleimane Amrani, member of the Justice and Development Group, Mr. Mehdi Atmoune, member of the Popular Movement Group, Mr. Said Serar, member of the Socialist Group, and Mr. Abderrahmane Lidak, member of the Authenticity and Modernity Group.

During this meeting, attended by some CNDH officers, the members of the delegation give their declarations concerning the said events and their relationships, as parliament deputies, with the local and regional authorities.

The Council held several meetings with different stakeholders. Holding such meetings is part of the Council’s mandate, mainly regarding the monitoring of human rights violations in all regions of the Kingdom and conducting of necessary investigations and inquiries.
