The University of Mohammed V-Agdal, Rabat (Master's in contemporary history)

In the context of the implementation of the Equity and Reconciliation Commission’s recommendations on the preservation of history, archive and memory, the Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH) and the University of Mohammed V-Agdal signed a cooperation agreement to create Master’s in contemporary history at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. This agreement aims to encourage research in contemporary history of Morocco and build an expertise in issues of contemporary history and memory of the Kingdom after gaining its independence through the creation of this Master’s. 

Under this agreement, the Council shall be committed to:

- Support this new Master’s;

- Support research in this field, mainly field research and purchasing books on contemporary history;

- And invite lecturers from some foreign universities and institutes specializing in this field.

The Faculty shall be committed to:

- Provide courses;

- Develop curricula;

- Organize examinations;

- And handle all logistical arrangements.
