The Office of the High Commissioner for Former Resistance Fighters and Member of the Liberation Army

The Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH) and the Office of the High Commissioner for Former Resistance Fighters and Member of the Liberation Army signed a framework cooperation and partnership agreement on history, memory and archives, on June 22, 2010, in Rabat.

The two institutions will be committed under this agreement, concluded within the framework of the Equity and Reconciliation Commission’s recommendations on collective reparation and preservation of memory, to organize seminars and workshops on the history of resistance and the liberation army in order to address the issue of writing history, collecting testimonies and documents related to human rights violations and exactions during the French protectorate.

The Council and the High Commissioner’s Office will foster studies and researches on resistance and liberation army, giving special attention to the documentation of the actions and sacrifices of nationalists, resistance fighters and members of the liberation army.

This agreement aims to enhance and promote scientific, literary and artistic creations on the independence battle and its values, unity and human rights principles. It also aims to exchange information sources (publications and documents) relevant to the history of resistance and the liberation army and human rights.
