Editorial
The Advisory Council on Human Rights (CCDH) held on October 11-12, 2008 a seminar on the death penalty. The goal was to open objective, serene and scientific debate on the question of the death penalty according to several approaches: legal, religious, sociological and human rights.The two-day seminar saw the active participation of various stakeholders: representatives of the government departments concerned, parliamentarians, judges, lawyers, academics, Muslim scholars, NGOs, media and a group of national and international experts in the field.
A heated debate, to which the press has largely contributed, has been launched. We provide you following this debate with some contributions and interventions by stakeholders. Enjoy reading!
