Mrs. Maimouna Essayed is the Radio Medina FM’s human rights personality of the year 2021

Mrs. Maimouna Essayed, President of the Regional Human Rights Commission of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab Region (CRDH), was selected, on Friday 7 January 2022, in Kenitra, Morocco, as the Radio Medina FM’s Human Rights Personality of the year 2021.

As part of the Sixth Chapter of the Annual National Ceremony for the Radio Medina FM Personality of the Year, Mrs. Essayed was selected to recognize her initiatives in protecting and promoting human rights in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab Region.

In her statement, Mrs. Essayed said that the consolidation of the culture of kindness and recognition of any effort is a commission. It is also motivating to provide more before it is an honour.

Mrs. Essayed stressed that this celebration carries different dimensions. The first is the institution of belonging. She considered that this celebration is a tribute to women of the National Human Rights Council (CNDH) and its CRDHs, members and staff for their commitment to the CNDH efforts in protecting and promoting human rights in Morocco. She also considered that this celebration is a recognition of the societal role of women and their competencies to contribute to achieving the desired change to improve society.

Mrs. Essayed also underlined that this celebration is a tribute to all civil society actors. It is a message to the society to adhere to achieving comprehensive mobilization on various issues and preoccupations related to local and public affairs.

At the end of each year, Radio Medina FM has been celebrating personalities of the year in various fields (human rights, security, judicial and legal) for their outstanding performance.
