Ms Soumicha Riyaha, Chairperson of RHRC of Casablanca - Settat

Ms. Soumicha Riyaha is a trainer in the areas of human rights, women's rights, protection mechanisms, gender issues, listening to abused women, etc. Expert in training and developing training programs, Ms. Riyaha held various positions in this area: consultant at CAWTAR (Center of Arab Women for Training and Research), expert at the Arab Institute for Human Rights in Tunisia, since 2005 (she is currently responsible for its programs in Morocco and represents the Institute in the Working Group on Human Rights Education in the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network), member of the trainers team of the Geneva Institute for Human Rights, etc. Ms. Riyaha led and published several field researches, including one on the situation of the mentally ill in Morocco (1979), a field research on the psychology of women and reliance on superstition, etc. Ms. Riyaha contributed to several publications on raped childhood, the reality of women's rights in Morocco and a guide to good governance.
